Team Building and precamp

A lot goes on at camp during the week before the campers arrive. One major event that happens is Teambuilding. Here are some pictures from our day of learning how to work together. By the way, I'd still like to know where the rest of my team from that day was while I was on top of a ladder at 4am every third night all summer....

Poor Megan became the crash test dummy.

So, after playing some games and catching each other in the field, we headed to the summer theatre to fall off slightly higher things.

Then it was time for the entire staff to head back to the field to play the game that everyone seems to love except me: Cutthroat Island. Does anyone else find this game to be not fun at all? Email me if you don't like this game. Maybe I'll start a facebook group called "I don't like playing Cutthroat Island and I'm not afraid to admit it." Oh, wait... I already created it. Why don't you just go join it if you agree with me. I have several videos of the staff playing this game, but the game is so stupid I'm not going to post them. Hey...it's MY site, I can state MY opinions.

Here are some scenes from aound camp during the days before the campers arrive. Basically, Julian takes over the place:

We also sit through many inspiring and informative staff meetings during this week. Here you see the staff being inspired and informed.

I always seem to catch Megan at the best moments (see 2004's pictures)

The other big thing that happens that week, other than the staff party which you can see on another page, and preparing all the shops for the first day of camp, is the coffee house which is held the second night we're all there. Here are some videos of that night:
